The SVGRS is an informal group and our membership is spread out over a fairly large area.

Our group is fairly active. Some of our activities and projects include:

• The club generally publishes quarterly newsletters
• The club has prvided the central display at the East Coast Large Scale Train Show (ECLSTS)
• The club has provided a popular display at the York Flower Show
• The club has provided a large and complex display at the Harrisburg Home & Garden Show
• The club will often meet at members' homes during the summer months.
• The club has provided an annual Summer Picnic.
• The club has provided a long running display at the Christmas Magic event at the Rocky Ridge County Park.
• The club has provided an annual Christmas Dinner.
• The club will often organize railfan excursion opportunities such as the Stewardtstown Railroad Speeder rides to New Freedom.
